They have well earned day off on August 9th and will cheer on fellow Team Yukon athletes.

Doubles team of Matthias Hoenisch/Alex Roberts lost 3-6, 2-6 and then 1-6, 1-6.

Volleyball - Beach
The first two games were on August 8th at Syne Park. It was fun, hot, and a lot of hard work. The Yukon team were the first team to kick off this event and the first match was against BC, one of the favourites to win gold. BC was able to take that game.  The second game was a close game against Team NT and while the boys lost that one, they feel they can take one from NT in the upcoming rematch.

The Yukon team is on average 2 years younger than the other beach teams, hence our goals are slightly different than a lot of other teams. Yes, it would be great to win but they are also here to establish a platform from which future Beach Volleyball players can jump from. They are a trailblazing team of sorts. Ben and Max have great personalities for this and are representing the Yukon with good skill and a high level of class.
