The women's basketball team lost this morning in the bronze medal game against Nunavut. After being up at the half, team Yukon had a tough time shutting down a strongly motivated team Nunavut, ultimately losing by 7 points.
Cross Country Skiing
Today was our freestyle sprint races. In the Juniors Simon Cash, Natalie Hynes & Mira Mason made it to the finals. In the Midgets Victor-Emile Thibault and Sonjaa Schmidt made the finals. Natalie Hynes won a Bronze Ulu to add to her collection.
Futsal
Futsal Junior boys - bronze ulu. Won 5-0 against NWT. Goals by Tyler (2), Ewan Halliday, Cody and Ewan Campbell.
Junior Girls - 4th place. Lost 1-5 against NWT. Goal by Lara.
Intermediate girls - silver ulu. Lost 0-1 against Sampi.
Snowboarding
One heck of a final comp day. Winds and coldest day of the week. Smiley Riley Boland received the Fair Play Pin from the host committee!
Sammy Mather brings home two ulus- silver for boardercross juvenile men's and bronze for overall juvenile male athlete.
Ethan Davy got a silver ulu in the junior men's boardercross.
Tim Schirmer received another ulu for overall male athlete in junior men's.
Other boardercross results: Asher Brault finished 7th, Racheal MacIntosh finished 4th and even Smiley Riley finished 5th.
