Ski Biathlon
Practice today started with no equipment but 5 min before the session started another team opened their container to find the Yukon rifles!  Frederik, the Crown Prince of Denmark challenged the biathletes to a competition, so Team Yukon took the opportunity to shoot 8 out of 10 and the Crown Prince had to settle for, well, let’s face it, he’s just learning to ski, but he had a great time with the athletes.

Several biathletes supported other team members by watching volleyball and basketball in the afternoon. A small group even went to watch Team Yukon win a Futsal game!  The evening before a race is always devoted to a team meeting so that everyone is prepared for the next day.

Tomorrow are the individual races. For skiers this consists of skiing for a few km then shooting 5 bullets then doing this set 3 more times.  For every target you miss 45 seconds is added to your time. The snowshoers do the same on snowshoes.
