ACCREDITATION TAGS & ROOM KEYS
- Each team member has an accreditation tag.
- Access to the residences/hotel during the Games will be restricted to those who have proper accreditation. Access will be granted to athletes, coaches, technical support, mission staff, medical staff and athlete’s residence volunteers.
- Your accreditation also give you access to the all the sport venues.
- In the event that you lose your accreditation badge, immediately notify your coach, manager, technical support or mission staff and arrangements will be made for a new tag.
TEAM YUKON – CODE OF CONDUCT
- Every athlete, coach, manager and mission staff has signed the Team Yukon Code of Conduct.
- You are an ambassador of our territory and every athlete, coach, manager and support staff is expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner as we are committed to providing an environment in which all individuals are treated with respect. This respect must be shown to absolutely everyone in the games family, especially the host society volunteers.
- Those choosing to disregard the Code of Conduct will be disciplined.
ROOMS
AND ROOM KEYS
- Participants are responsible for keeping their rooms clean for the duration of their stay. A light cleaning service will be provided to remove garbage. Excessive room wear and tear, dirtiness or willful damage will be reported to the Chef de Mission or mission designate; those responsible will have to cover the cost of returning the room back to its original state.
- Each athlete, coach and manager will be issued a key card. If your key card is lost or stolen you must report it to the front desk at the hotel.
- Lock your room at all times and remember to take your key.
- Bathrooms will be cleaned and sanitized daily and towels exchanged every 24 hours.
- A curfew will be imposed in the Athlete’s Village during the games.
- Quiet time begins at 11:00pm, all cellphones, music and TVs must be turned off and anyone moving through the hotel must do so in a quiet manner.
- Lights out at 12:00 midnight which means everyone must be in their own rooms with lights out. Your coach may set an earlier curfew if they so desire.
- If curfew is violated then security will stop the participant from going to his/her room, remove accreditation, and call the respective Chef de Mission or Mission designate to deal with the violation.
- Food services are located in the Civic Centre Cafeteria. Hours of operation are 6:00am – 11pm daily.
- Bags and coats will be checked at the bag/coat check-in area.
- All day buffet is from 6:00am – 11:00pm; Breakfast is from 6:00 – 10:00am; Lunch is from 11:00am – 1:00pm & Dinner is from 5:00-9:00pm.
- Take what you can eat but eat what you take. Please clean up after yourself.
- Participant medical services will be provided at all competition venues and the Polyclinic. Basic first aid service will be provided to the practice venues of some high risk sports.
- Those eligible to receive medical services include athletes, coaches, managers, technical support and mission staff. Proper accreditation will be required to access all medical areas.
- The Polyclinic is located upstairs in the Civic Centre and is open from 7:00am – 11:00pm each day.
- Athletes must be accompanied by a coach, manager or mission staff on their initial visit.
- Pre-competition taping will be done at the venues for Judo or Hockey, and the Polyclinic.
- Entertainment will be held at the Canada Games Centre each evening.
- There will be an internet lounge for athletes located on the 2nd floor of the Library (attached to cafeteria).
- Coaches Lounge – for coaches, managers and support staff only. Riley’s in the Days Inn, hours of operation are 5:30 – 11:00pm.
Week 1
- The Opening Ceremonies will take place on Friday, Feb 13 at the CN Centre beginning at 7:00 p.m.
- Transportation – Team Yukon buses leave at approximately 5:25 from the transportation hub at the Days Inn. Be there no later than 5:15p.m.
- The Team Yukon walkout uniform must be worn at the opening ceremonies, all are asked to wear our outer red and white jacket, black track pants, long sleeve shirts, buff or touque.
- The Closing Ceremonies will take place at 4:00 pm, Sunday, March 1st at UNBC. More information on departure and what to wear later this week.
TEAM
YUKON MISSION OFFICE & INFORMATION CENTER
- The Team Yukon office is located in the Mission Center in the RCMP Building main floor – 999 Brunswick Street.
- Our office is open daily from 8:00am – 1:00pm and again from 4:00 -11:00pm and accreditation is required to access the office. Although the Mission office will be closed for 3 hours in the afternoon from 1:00 – 4:00pm Coaches/Managers can contact the Mission Staff if they need anything. It is important to note that the front door of the building is locked at 6:00pm each night so you will have to gain access through the side door. (code needed)
- Team Yukon can be followed through our Newsletters, Blog, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram platforms. We have an excellent communication plan in place so don’t forget you will have no problems getting information.
- Your team will have a mailbox in the office. Please have a coach or manager check in daily for updates or at the least give your mission staff a call to get updates that come from morning mission meetings

- Village Information Centers. The Village information center (transportation and competition schedules, results, entertainment schedules, lost and found) will be housed in the Civic Center.
TRANSPORTATION
- Schedules are now out!!! Please check with your mission to ensure you are dialed in.
- Bus Depot – Days Inn parking lot if not otherwise noted!!
- If you require changes to your transportation schedule please let mission staff know.
- Shuttle Busses and Public Transportation - A shuttle will also be running hourly to and from Athlete’s Village and most sports venues.
- Be sure to check your schedule to ensure you are at your coaches/manages technical meeting. They are all listed on Version 11 of the Sport Schedules or on your Team Yukon Sport Schedules. Mission staff are also urged to attend if available.
- Scheduled Practices:
- You must confirm usage of all your scheduled practices. The host society needs to know between 8:00 and 10:00pm the day before or the transportation and support services associated with having that practice will be canceled. Please let your mission staff person know if you are using your practice and they will call or email and confirm with the host society. If you don’t confirm usage of your scheduled practices the day prior it will be cancelled.
